Despite it was almost a decade ago when Garr Reynolds published the excellent “Presentation Zen: Simple Ideas on Presentation Design and Delivery” I still see loads of badly designed presentations. They fail to deliver the brilliant ideas their authors want to communicate.
If you only kept two simple things in mind, you already achieved your goal: the audience pays attention and understands your idea.
- one thought/sentence per slide — no endless bullet point list
- search a relevant image (with large sky or empty space to write on) to be used as a full screen background. There are many excellent license free image sources.
